KARACHI: A Rangers man and three criminals were killed in exchange of fire in Karachi’s Lyari neighbourhood on Wednesday.

Official said a skirmish took place in Lyari’s Baghdadi area this morning when miscreants riding opened fire on a Rangers patrolling party, killing a paramilitary soldier.

The Rangers resorted to retaliatory fire and killed three outlaws in an area which is hub of gang war elements and criminal activities.

Meanwhile, police conducted a search operation in Mawach Goth locality, arresting eight suspected criminals and recovering a large quantity of illegal arms, including hand grenades.

The suspects are said to gang war members.
