PESHAWAR, Pakistan: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education, Muhammad Atif Khan has said that the Provincial Government was planning to establish latest IT Labs in all Government Schools of the Province to equip new generation with IT education.

This he stated, while chairing a presentation on establishment of IT Labs in Government schools of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at Peshawar on Monday.

The presentation, beside others, was also attended by the Secretary Elementary Education Ali Raza Bhutta, Additional Secretary Qaiser Alam and authorities concerned of the IT and other related departments.

The Minister on this occasion was briefed in detail regarding the salient features of IT Labs project. He constituted a committee under the chairmanship of Additional Secretary Education to finalize arrangements for establishment of IT Labs.

The Education Minister maintained, in the present modern era, education and IT were interlinked and education sector sans IT was incomplete, therefore, the PTI led Government has decided to establish IT Labs in all the government schools.

He added that specialty in IT was the need of the hour and for the purpose the government was serious to include IT in education sector for bright future of the province.

Atif directed the concerned authorities of his department to finalize the project of establishment of IT Labs without any further delay and replicate this project to the entire province at the earliest, so as our new generation could live with honor and dignity in comity of nations.
