ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) on Tuesday issues its directive to take action against those who are holding fake degrees within two days, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.

During the hearing of fake degrees case, the apex court sought details of the 34 fake degree cases underway in the subordinate courts and ordered the concerned authorities to take action against the forged degree holders within two days.

Meanwhile, Secretary Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Ishtiaq Ahmed informed the court that the commission is already probing fake degree holder cases who were elected in the 2008 elections and pleaded for two more days to complete the process.

The ECP Secretary said that the nomination papers of the candidates contesting upcoming general elections would be posted on the website.

Later, the court adjourned the hearing of the case till Thursday.
