Bilal Asif was declared man of the third one day international (ODI) against Zimbabwe at the Harare Sports Club on Monday for grabbing five wickets for 25 runs.

Later the off spinner was reported for a suspect action and now he will be required to undergo an assessment test at an International Cricket Council’s (ICC) accredited laboratory within 14 days.

“Bilal’s action has been reported after the third ODI and we are following the procedure with the ICC,” Pakistan’s team manager Intikhab Alam told ESPNcricinfo.

However, the blower is eligible to bowl in international cricket until the result of the test is out.

It was just the second international match of Bilal Asif in which he also scored 38 runs for one six and six fours while opening the batting for Pakistan.

In the third ODI, Pakistan beat Zimbabwe by seven wickets and won the three-match ODI series by 2-1.

The Zimbabwean team while batting first were all-out for 161 in 38.5 overs. In reply, Pakistan achieved the target in 30.4 overs for the loss of three wickets.

In recent time, a couple of other Pakistani bowlers including Saeed Ajmal and Muhammad Hafeez were also reported for a suspect action.

Hafeez is currently banned from bowling in international cricket for one year while though Ajmal has been cleared to bowl after passing biomechanic test but he does not seem as much as effective he was before.
