SHEIKHUPURA: A passenger bus collided with an electricity pole in Sheikhupura on Saturday that left 25 dead and over 20 others wounded, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.

The accident took place when the high-speed passenger bus travelling from Lahore towards Faisalabad collided with an electricity pole, sources said.

Police and rescue workers reached the site of the accident and shifted the bodies and injured to the Sheikhupura Civil Hospital for treatment.

Rescue sources said that the death toll may increase as the conditions of many injured was stated to be critical. Identities of the dead and the injured were yet to be ascertained.
