Blast on railway track in Jacobabad, nine injured

JACOBABAD, Pakistan: An explosion occurred on a railway track near Jacobabad’s district jail on Saturday that left reportedly at least nine persons injured.

However, according to hospital sources, six persons were confirmed injured.

The sources said that the Quetta bound Jaffar Express train was passing through the area but in the meantime, a blast took place on the railway track causing the derailment of four bogies and engine of the train.

Nine persons were injured in the incident as said by our sources and eyewitnesses. But sources in the hospital where the injured persons were brought confirmed only six casualties.

Following the blast, all train activities were suspended and the remaining passengers were transferred to private buses and vans.

Four killed in Jamshoro road accident

In a separate incident, at least four people were killed while five others sustained injuries due to a traffic accident occurred near Jamshoro on Indus Highway.

The dead bodies and the injured were shifted Civil Hospital Jamshoro.
