13 militants killed in Balochistan operations

QUETTA, Pakistan: At least 13 militants including a commander have been killed in Balochistan’s Kalat and Mastung districts by the security forces, the spokesperson of Frontier Corps (FC) Khan Wasey said.

In a statement issued on Friday afternoon, the FC spokesman said that killings have taken place in search operations launched in Johan area of Kalat and Splinji area of Mastung.

The FC spokesman said that the operations continue in these areas since Thursday morning, adding that six militants have also injured while more than 10 militants have been arrested during the operations.

15 militants killed in North Waziristan

Earlier, at least 15 militants including some foreigners were killed in precise aerial strikes carried out in the restive North Waziristan tribal region as part of the operation zarb-e-azb.

In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that strikes were conducted near Datta Khel area of the agency.
