Ayyan Ali's judicial remand extended for 14 days in money laundering case

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: A customs court in Rawalpindi on Saturday extended supermodel Ayyan Ali’s judicial remand in the money laundering case for 14 days.

During the hearing, the customs officials presented a report before the judge Chaudhry Mumtaz regarding investigation carried out in the case so far.

The customs officials present in court also stated that Ayyan Ali does not cooperate during the investigation.

The judge while expressing his anger over the failure to present the charge sheet against Ayyan, and directed the customs officials to present the charge sheet at the next hearing on April 24.

The model Ayyan Ali was also presented in the court on the occasion.

The 21-year-old Ayyan Ali was arrested on March 14 from the Benazir Bhutto International Airport in Rawalpindi for attempting to fly out to Dubai with over $0.5 million.
