ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Thursday reiterated its commitment to have good relations with India through resolving all outstanding issues, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.
In a weekly media briefing in Islamabad on Thursday Foreign Office spokesman Aziz Ahmad Chaudhry, said that both the countries are engaged to set a date for dialogue on Woller Baradge issue.
The spokesman said process is underway to issue visas to the foreign diplomats to see election process in Pakistan. He said these diplomats have no other interest but to monitor the process.
He said Pakistan’s stance over the drone is clear that these are in violation of its sovereignty besides have proved to be counterproductive.
Referring to killing of five Pakistanis in a town of South Africa‚ the spokesman said the issue has been taken up with the concerned authorities. He said efforts are being made to transport dead bodies to Pakistan.
On Afghanistan‚ the spokesman said a stable and peaceful Afghanistan is in the interest of Pakistan and the region.
The spokesman said Pakistan has responded positively to a proposal received from Afghanistan regarding Strategic Partnership Agreement.
To a question‚ he said Maulvi Faqir Muhammad is in the custody of Afghan government.
