KARACHI, Pakistan: The renowned couturier Adnan Pardesy is set to showcase the collection “Labyrinth” at the TDAP Fashion Expo 2015 on February 26 in Karachi.

The collection is a display of weaving techniques dominated by monochromatic whites, ivories and blacks.

For Labyrinth, Adnan Pardesy took inspiration from psychedelic patterns and weaves along with Japanese weave structures, Chinese floral patterns, forest abstracts, Kalamkaari, Japanese Geisha, Greek temple landscape imagery, African tribal motifs, stencil technique tattoos, contemporary art with abstract imagery and Islamic pattern compositions.

Labyrinth features well-structured tapered jackets, simple clean lines, graphic details, intricate hand embroidery with fabric manipulation and labyrinthine fabric twists and drapes. The collection is based on luxe fabrics including silks, crepes, chiffons, charmeuse silk and net.

“We are pleased to announce that we are participating in TDAP Fashion Expo 2015 and it is very encouraging to see that designers are provided with such a platform to showcase their talent. Trade Development Authority of Pakistan has been an excellent means to develop and enhance the fashion potential of Pakistan and promote originality in the art of design. The event is unique in its kind and has caught the eye of both the fashion industry and the media. With an emerging market such as Pakistan’s, fashion platforms such as TDAP Fashion expo play a significant role in building the economy of our country and stimulate the demand for couture as well as pret,” the fashion designer Adnan Pardesy said while speaking about the launch of his participation in the TDAP fashion expo.
