Huge gold, copper & iron ore reserves discovered from Chiniot

CHINIOT, Pakistan: The major reserves of gold, silver, copper and iron ore have been discovered from Punjab’s Chiniot district while according to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, these reserves would help enhance revenue of the country.

At a briefing about discovery of precious reserves at Rajwa in Chiniot on Wednesday, the prime minister said that the variety of valuable natural resources discovered from Chiniot will be fully exploited to bring progress and prosperity to the country.

The prime minister said that better utilization of these reserves would help enhance revenue of the country and improving the services for the public in the health and education sectors.

Sharif further said that on completion of tests of the discovered minerals local and foreign investment will be sought for them. He said that the government will fully facilitate the investors.

The renowned Scientist and Chairman Pakistan Mineral Company Dr Samar Mubarak Mand told the participants that the iron ores deposits in Chiniot have 60 to 90 percent purity and can be directly used for steel mill.

Dr Samar Mubarak said that presence of gold and other precious mineral with copper ores have also been witnessed.
