Maulana Fazlur Rehman, who also leads the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), said that the international community should play its role to help resolve this issue.

The JUI-F leader said that Kashmir issue should be resolved according to the wishes of Kashmiris in line with the UN Security Council resolutions.

Fazl said that the UN Security Council’s resolutions on Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, East Timor and Sudan were implemented by the international community but the UN resolutions on Kashmir are still pending.

The JUI-F leader urged the government to keep a close eye on rapidly unfolding circumstances and formulate an effective foreign policy to counter new challenges posed by India.
