Ever since the iPhone 6 release, a lot of tech pundits and fanboys have deemed it that the next innovation in the field of smartphones will only come next September. However, for those of us actually familiar with the latest advances, the iPhone 6 was nothing but a sore disappointment. Sure, the GUI was a bit flashier than before but apart from that, the iPhone still has a lot of catching up to do. So, it comes as no surprise that the next innovation in the field of smartphones comes from the Korean Android OEM Gaints LG in the form of the LG G Flex 2.
Apart from its spanking new Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor (a 64 bit, double quadcore processor), which is optimized for gaming and the ability to stream videos in 4k, the phone also features a fully functions self-healing back cover. Of course, the original G Flex also featured a self-healing back cover but its successor has apparently decided to step it up a notch as demonstrated by LG in their CES2015 conference. These aren’t the only changes introduced as the G Flex 2 this time around has a slight fitting done to its signature curve so the display can fit a person’s face a bit better and make it feel more at ease compared to its predecessor.

Auto Heal Feature: What LG has done is basically create a polymer (it is not an effect achieved by dipping the cover in some sort of toughening fluid, but indeed intrinsic), a poly-resin that expands when you dent the phone to cover those dents and scratches
If we are being totally honest, the new LG G Flex 2 is ushering in a brand new era in smartphones in terms of hardware and can safely be said to be right on the money, if we take the latest advances in technology into account. Also, while we have nothing against the iPhone, we still think that it has been quite some time since the tech giants have truly introduced or implemented a feature in their devices that wasn’t there in the market before. Let’s just see how much time will Apple or Samsung for that matter will take to implement this technology into their devices and finally rid us of the trouble of putting our keys and phones in separate pockets.
