ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) lawmaker in the National Assembly from Mandi Bahauddin Muhammad Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry has announced to join the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Ijaz Chaudhry made the announcement on Saturday after the PTI Chairman Imran Khan and other party leaders went to his residence in Islamabad and held a meeting.

Earlier, he tendered his resignation from the seat in the National Assembly.

Talking to media, Ijaz Chaudhry said that he had objections and reservations over PML-N’s policies and said that N-League was unable to steer Pakistan out of crisis.

Chaudhry said that Mandi Bahauddin faced the worst catastrophic flood and that he was not being able to deliver and meet the expectations of the people of his district. He said that people of Mandi Bahauddin expect to be given rights equal to Lahore.
