Imran’s statements on foreign policy issues show lack of responsibility: Rasheed

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The federal information minister Pervez Rasheed has said that the Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan’s vague and mindless statements about sensitive foreign issues show total lack of responsibility and sense about national interests.

In his address at his party public gathering in Multan on Friday night, Imran Khan urged the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to use his mandate to resolve the issue of Kashmir so that the money being spent on weapons could be used for the welfare of the people of both countries. He also asked Modi to behave like a statesman, instead of showing muscles on the Sialkot border.

In a statement, the information minister said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s response to current foreign issue has come through statement from the platform of the National Security Committee.

The minister said that the prime minister has given an effective and powerful message to Indian leadership by holding National Security committee meeting.

Rasheed said that speeches of Imran Khan show a confused state of mind and he does not know what to say and when to say.

The information minister said that Imran Khan is taking U-turns and telling lies, but the people cannot befooled by his tall claims. He said that instead of misleading people by his U-turns, Imran Khan should direct his government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to help the displaced persons.
