Pakistan, Iran discuss bilateral ties, region situation

NEW YORK: The prime minister’s adviser on foreign affairs Sartaj Aziz and the Iranian foreign minister Javad Zarif held a meeting in New York and discussed matters of bilateral interest.

During the meeting, the two sides said that the momentum generated by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s visit to Iran earlier this year should be maintained through enhanced interactions between the two countries at every level.

Moreover, they also exchanged views on regional situation during the meeting.
