COAS lauds soldiers for unflinching resolve in Zarb-e-Azb

MANSEHRA: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Thursday lauded soldiers of all ranks for their unflinching resolve in the ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azb against the militants.

The army chief was speaking to soldiers at the concluding ceremony of physical agility and combat efficiency system championship at Shinkiari on Thursday.

The COAS, while emphasizing the need for physical fitness for a soldier, reiterated that peace time training is the only guarantor for success during war.

General Raheel said that physical agility and combat efficiency system has been introduced to further enhance physical fitness standards in the Army to successfully face challenging environment of the future battlefield.

Eighteen teams participated in the championship.

Later, the COAS gave away trophies to winner and runner up teams and medals for best individual performances.
