Punjabi Taliban announces to end militant activities in Pakistan

PESHAWAR, Pakistan: The banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan’s (TTP) Punjab Chapter Chief Asmatullah Muaweyah on Saturday announced to end militant activities in Pakistan and begin Tableeghi work, the media reports said.

However, he said, that Jihad against anti-Muslim and anti-Ummah forces will continue.

The TTP’s Punjab chapter chief said that the announcement to end violence across the country was made after consultation. He also appealed to other Taliban factions to shun violence.
