24-inch gas pipeline blown up by militants in Dera Bugti

QUETTA, Pakistan: A 24-inch gas pipeline was blown up by militants in Pir Koh area of Balochistan’s Dera Bugti district on Monday, an official said.

Following the blast, gas supply from Pir Koh to the purification plant was suspended.

The official said that militants had planted explosive materials close to the gas pipeline in Pir Koh area which went off, blowing up the gas pipeline.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack. However, in the past the banned Baloch militant group the Baloch Republican Army (BRA) has claimed responsibility for similar attacks.
