Imran assures SC will not enter any government building

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Friday assured the Supreme Court that none of his party worker will enter any government building as he is not in favor of any sort of extra-constitutional and illegal steps.

A five-member larger bench of the apex court led by Chief Justice Nasir-ul- Mulk was hearing a petition filed against any possible extra-constitutional steps.

In a reply submitted in the apex court on behalf of Imran Khan, it was stated that the PTI chairman believes in the supremacy of constitution and law. Imran Khan assured that his party’s sit-in is peaceful and would remain peaceful.

The PTI chairman further said that the articles 4, 9, 15, 16, 17, 19 and 25 of the constitution permit staging peaceful sit-in.

Imran Khan also asked the court to issue order for the removal of containers blocking roads and causing much difficulty to the citizens.
