ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: In a bid to cope with rallies by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) in Islamabad on Independence Day, at least 3,000 additional Frontier Constabulary (FC) personnel have been summoned in the federal capital.

The media reports said that the interior minister has issued a notification in this regard on Monday after approval of federal Interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan.

The reports further said that apart from the FC, the federal capital would be heavily guarded due to presence of Pakistan Army’s 111 Brigade commandos, Rangers, elite force and thousands of intelligence agencies’ personnel.
