Maldives announces boycott of Israeli products, annulment of agreements over Gaza

MALE, Maldives: In protest over the aggression against Palestinians in the Gaza strip, the Maldives government has announced the boycott of Israeli products and the annulment of three bilateral agreements with Tel Aviv.

In a statement, the Maldives foreign minister Dunya Maumoon said that her country would join Arab nations in co-sponsoring a resolution at a special session of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC).

The Maldives foreign minister called for protection to an independent Palestinian State and the extension of humanitarian aid for Palestinian people.
