MIRANSHAH: At least two persons were killed in a US drone strike that targeted a compound in the restive North Waziristan tribal region near Afghan border on Sunday, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.

The unmanned aircraft targeted a residential compound in Muhammad Khel village of Tehseel Boya, sources said.

The compound was completely destroyed when the drone fired two missiles at it, security officials said. Identities of the deceased were yet to be known.

Two persons were killed in the attack. Local residents gathered in the area and began removing the debris, they said.
