ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: A meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee of the Cabinet (ECC) was held in Islamabad on Thursday with the finance minister Ishaq Dar in the chair, during which it approved the import of another 100,000 metric tons of potatoes.
The approval was given at the suggestion of the ministry of national food security and research to bring potatoes prices at reasonable level.
The committee has already approved the import of 200,000 metric tons of potatoes without any duty.
