ISLAMABAD:A meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the federal cabinet was held in Islamabad on Friday under the chairmanship of federal finance minister Ishaq Dar.

During the meeting, the committee lifted ban on import of compressed natural gas (CNG) kits.

The ECC also approved import of live animals from the United States, Canada, Belgium and Holland.

Pakistan had imposed ban on the import of animals from these four countries due to breakout of mad cow disease there.
