Five killed, 35 injured in Karachi bus blast

KARACHI: At least five people were killed while 35 others sustained injuries when a bomb went off in a Sargodha-bound bus parked outside the Cantonment Railway Station here on Saturday, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported on 29 December, 2012.

Police said the blast on the Shalimar Coach, bearing registration no 2888, occurred at 3:00pm. The coach was parked near the main entrance to the Cantonment Railway Station.

The condition of several injured persons, who had sustained severe burn wounds, was stated to be critical. The dead and wounded were shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.
