Policemen dismissed after they plucked guavas from Nawaz Sharif’s garden

LAHORE: Two police constables were dismissed from their service for allegedly plucking guava from the “forbidden tree” at the Jati Umra residence of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Raiwind, the media citing sources in Lahore police reported.

The sources said that both constables identified as Abid and Saifullah were caught by the security in-charge while plucking the guava from a garden at the palatial residence of the prime minister.

The security in-charge reprimanded the two constables and submitted a complaint against them to the higher police authorities who dismissed them from service.

However, the Lahore police spokesman denied firing of the constables on the ground of plucking guavas.
