PESHAWAR: The Taliban killed 21 out of the 22 kidnapped Levies personnel late on Saturday night, while one official escaped miraculously and another was shifted to hospital in a wounded condition, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported on 30 December, 2012.

These officials were kidnapped when around 400 militants stormed two security posts in the Hassankhel and Janay Khwar areas of Frontier Region (FR) Peshawar on the night between Wednesday and Thursday.

The Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) had claimed responsibility for the attacks and kidnapping of the Levies men.
