COAS meets vice chairman Central Military Commission China

RAWALPINDI: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif, who is on an official visit to China, held a meeting with the Vice Chairman Central Military Commission (CMC) of the People’s Republic of China General Fan Changlong in Beijing, a press release issued by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Wednesday stated.

Earlier on Tuesday, the COAS held a meeting with the Foreign Minister of China Mr Wang Yi and discussed matters of mutual interests.

The COAS also visited Peoples Liberation Army (PLA) Headquarters, where he was received by Deputy Chief of General Staff PLA General Hou Shushen, and reviewed a smartly turned out guard of honour.

Both military leaders held a one on one meeting which covered wide range of issues with focus on bilateral military cooperation.

"As you know, my country has launched an initiative on ammunition. By the end of the year, 500,000 large-caliber shells will be delivered. We will not stop there. We will continue to provide the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the necessary support," the Czech Foreign Minister emphasized.
