RAWALPINDI: The Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Rashad Mahmood, who is on an official visit to Jordan, called on His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussain and His Excellency Doctor Abdullah Ensour the Prime Minister of Jordan, said a press release issued by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Wednesday.

The ISPR said that the CJCSC conveyed good wishes from the government and people of Pakistan to the government and people of Jordan.

King Abdullah and His Excellency Doctor Abdullah Ensour applauded the cordiality and good relations between two countries and appreciated the sacrifices made by the people and armed forces of Pakistan in fighting the menace of terrorism.

Earlier, the CJCSC also held separate meetings with General Mashal Muhammad Al Zaben, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff and Major General Mansour S. Al Jabour, Commander Royal Jordan Air Force.

During the meetings, matters related to mutual cooperation between the two armed forces came under discussion. His Royal Highness, Lieutenant General Prince Feisal Bin El Hussain, advisor to King on security was also present on the occasion.
