Talks with Taliban still govt's top priority: Nisar

ISLAMABAD: The federal minister for interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said that the dialogue process with the Taliban continues to be the top priority of the government.

In an interview, the interior minister said that although the dialogue process is presently at halt because of infighting among Taliban groups, yet the process has produced positive results.

The interior minister assured that if there is any change in the policy of dialogue, it would be formally announced.

Nisar further said that no decision has been taken to launch military operation in North Waziristan tribal region. He said that option of a military operation against the militants will be made in consultation with all political parties.
