Alleged blasphemer burnt to death in Sukkur

SUKKUR: An alleged desecrator of Qur’an was killed on Friday when hundreds of people stormed a police station, broke open the lock-up, dragged out him from there and burnt him to death after severe torture, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported on 21 December, 2012.

According to polic sources, an aged man entered into a mosque in Seetta, a remote village of Dadu, where he desecrated the Holy Qur’an placed there. The people caught the man while he was committing the crime and brought him to Rajo Dero police station of Dadu.

They said the police locked him up and started investigating. They were trying to ascertain whether the man was sane. In the meanwhile hundreds of people of the area attacked the police station, broke open the lock-up, dragged out the ‘culprit’ and tortured him to death. Later, they burnt the body.
