China vows to maintain high-level interactions with Pakistan

BEIJING: China on Wednesday vowed to maintain high-level interactions with Pakistan and actively move forward with the construction of the China-Pakistan economic corridor to benefit the people of the two countries.

A meeting was held between the Chinese President Xi Jinping and Chairman Senate Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari in Beijing on Wednesday.

“The Chinese side sincerely hopes that Pakistan will achieve stability and development,” the Chinese president said during the meeting.

The Chinese president said that his country is willing to enhance security cooperation with Pakistan and work with the south Asian country to combat the three evil forces of separatism, extremism and terrorism.

Xi also pledged to increase exchanges between the two countries on governance, urging the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and the Pakistani Senate to enhance interactions to make more contribution to the friendly cooperation between the two countries.

On the occasion, Bukhari said that security of Chinese companies and citizens will be ensured in Pakistan.
