Judges' detention case: Musharraf ordered to appear in next hearing

ISLAMABAD: An anti-terrorism court in Islamabad on Friday ordered former military ruler General (retd) Pervez Musharraf to appear before it in the next hearing of the judges’ detention case after granting exemption to him for today’s hearing.

During today’s hearing of the case, the request for Musharraf’s exemption from was submitted in the court according to which the former president was suffering from a pain in the backbone due to which he could not appear in court today.

The court granting exemption to the former president from appearing in today’s hearing of the case, warned of strict action against the former military ruler’s guarantor’s in case of his non-appearance in the next hearing of the case.

Later, the court adjourned the next hearing of the case until May 23.
