Bajaur agency cleared of militants: Peshawar Corps Commander

PESHAWAR: The security forces with the help of tribesmen have successfully eliminated militants from the Bajaur agency, the Corps Commander of Peshawar Lt General Khalid Rabbani said while addressing a gathering of soldiers and tribal elders at Sewai areas of Mamoond tehsil on Thursday.

General Khalid said that the writ of the government has been restored by the sacrifices of the security forces and the valuable support of the tribesmen.

The Corps Commander was briefed about law and order situation and steps taken for security of the Agency’s border areas.

Later, the Corps Commander visited security posts in various areas of the agency and met with jawans.
