ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly on Tuesday unanimously passed a resolution calling upon the federal government to take immediate steps to lift ban on YouTube.
The resolution was moved by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) lawmaker Shazia Marri.
The video sharing website was blocked in the country in September 2012 after its administration and Google Incorporation refused to comply with a request by Pakistan and some other Muslim countries to remove a blasphemous video from the site.
