PakistanElection Commission takes notice of job appointments, regularization

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has taken notice of new appointments, provision of loans and job regularization by the Sindh, Punjab and Federal governments, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported on Wednesday.

The Punjab government regularized 100,000 employees of grade 1-16 and the Sindh government provided loans to 300,000 youths under Waseela Rozgar Scheme, Director General ECP Syed Sher Afgan said in a statement.

According to Sher Afghan, both the provincial governments violated ECP orders, which is tantamount to affect the election results. The ECP also took notice of appointing Farooq Awan as member finance of PTA by the federal government.

The commission has sought reply in three and seven days from Federal, Punjab and Sindh governments respectively.
