KARACHI: Rangers on Wednesday conducted a search operation in New Subzi Mandi area of the city and took into custody an alleged suicide bomber and recovered a suicide jacket, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.

Earlier this morning, Rangers claimed to have arrested dozens of suspects in an operation against banned terrorist outfits in different area of the city, a couple of days after a massive blast hit Abbas Town and left 48 dead and over 150 injured,.

The sources said that the Rangers arrested suspects from Bakhar Goth near Abul Isphani Road and Lines Area.

The paramilitary troops cordoned off the areas and searched various houses on tip off that some suspects were hiding in the locality. During the operation, illegal arms, including machine guns and pistols, were also recovered by Rangers and they rounded up more than a dozen suspected criminals.
