Srinagar: For the second consecutive week, no passenger from Azad Kashmir travelled in the Karvan-e -Aman bus, operating between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad. Dispatch News Desk reports.

However, three Kashmiris crossed over from Indian occupied Jammu & Kashmir to other side of the Line of Control (LoC) at Kaman post, the last Indian military post in Uri sector this afternoon to meet their relatives, separated in 1947.

Official sources said no Azad Kashmir resident travelled to this side in the bus today. This was the for the second week, and third in 2013 that no passenger travelled in the Muzaffarabad-Sri Nagar Bus. On January 14 no passender crossed to Indian Occupied Kashmir as well.

However, on January 21, the bus service was suspended due to landslides and snowfall on the other side of the LoC.Sources said six Kashmiris, who had gone to Azad Kashmir, returned to their homes after meeting thier relatives. They included two women and a child. The service, introduced on April 7, 2005 has helped thousands of families, divided in 1947 to meet each other.
