Justice Mazhar Alam Miankhel takes oath as Chief justice PHC

PESHAWAR: Justice Mazhar Alam Miankhel took oath as Chief Justice of the Peshawar High Court (PHC) in Peshawar on Tuesday.

The Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Engineer Shaukatullah administered the oath.

The Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak, senior Minister Sirajul Haq, provincial Ministers, Judges of High Court and lawyers attended the function.

Justice Miankhel was appointed on the basis of his seniority for the post of the PHC chief justice, a post which had been vacated after the retirement of Justice Mian Fasihul Mulk.
