11 killed as blast targets FC vehicle in Quetta

QUETTA: At least 10 persons including a child were killed while 40 others sustained injuries when a bomb planted on a motorcycle parked near the Science College Chowk on Prince Road in Quetta went off on Friday, rescue sources said.

The sources said that the blast which targeted a Frontier Corps (FC) vehicle passing through the area also destroyed 10 vehicles as well as shattered glass windows of nearby buildings.

The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) said that more than five kilograms of explosives were used in the blast.

The dead and injured persons were shifted to the Civil Hospital.
