Roadside bomb targets FC convoy in Hangu, four killed

PESHAWAR: At least six Frontier Corps (FC) personnel were killed while eight others sustained injuries when a roadside remote-controlled bomb targeting a security forces’ convoy went off in Hangu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the militant group Ansarul Mujahideen has claimed the responsibility for the attack.

The official sources said that the convoy of FC was on its way from Hangu to Kurram Agency when it was targeted near Warmagal area on the Hangu-Kurram Agency border.

Subsequently, at least six security personnel were killed and eight others injured. Their vehicle was also damaged in the attack.
