Mohmand suicide blast hurts four Livies men

GHALLANAI: A suicide bomber blew himself up outside the offices of the political administration in Ekkaghund town of Mohmand Agency injuring four Levies soldiers, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported on 05 November, 2012.

Assistant Political Agent Fahad Wazir said that the political administration had received information about the entry of a suicide bomber in Ekkaghund. He said the security forces and political administration stepped up security in Mohmand Agency after receiving the intelligence report during Eidul Azha.

“The security forces tightened checking at all the exit and entry points,” he said, adding some tribesmen spotted a suspected person in Ekkaghund bazaar and informed the administration.

“The soldiers ordered the suicide bomber to surrender, but he ran towards them and detonated the explosives strapped to his body injuring four Levies soldiers,” he explained.
