Taliban have threaten Colonel Jamila Bayaz who has been appointed as first female district police for her life

Kabul: Taliban have sent direct threat message to Colonel Jamila Bayaz who has been appointed as first female district police chief in Kabul, claim sources. Government is tight lipped over this development to avoid harassment among police officials. However, nothing has come up from Taliban officially about this threat.

“We will target her latter or sooner. This is not Afghan society and we will not allow anybody to change our society”, Taliban message indicated, sources added.

Bayaz is mother of five children and is the first woman to be promoted to such a senior rank despite being one of 2,000 female police officers. She is promoted on January 15, 201.

Sources claimed that strict message came from Taliban due to her statement she gave during her interview in which she tahnked United States fr her promotion. She said:

I want to thank America and the international community for all of their help and support. I would not be here today if it weren’t for all of their assistance,”.
