Gunmen kill 18 in attack on Khuzdar fuel station

QUETTA: Eighteen people including eight women and three children were killed while four others sustained injuries when unknown armed men attacked a mini petrol pump in the Jhalawan Complex area on the outskirts of Khuzdar on Friday, assailants fled from the scene after the incident, Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported on 02 November, 2012.

DPO Khuzdar Faseehud Din said that some unidentified persons with modern weapons driving a car opened fire at the petrol pump when a passenger coach had stopped there to get fuel. Over 20 people were travelling in the passenger coach, which was going to Archino village from the Khuzdar city.

Some of the bullets hit the petrol drums, which caused a huge fire engulfing the fuel station, the passenger van, two motorbikes and four neighbouring shops. Paramilitary troops and fire-fighters later extinguished the fire, he said.
