Update:  On Social media many Indians are saying sofia misused the law against Armaan Kohli because of her personnel grudges and to take revenge.  

Armaan Kohli has been arrested by Lonavla police on Sofia Hayat’s complaint. Kohli was arrested  from the Bigg Boss house by Lonavala city police on the complaint registered against him by Sofia Hayat.

Sofia Hayat,  was recently dropped from ‘Bigg Boss 7’,  filed an FIR against Armaan Kohli at Santacruz police station here alleging that she was manhandled and subjected to un-parliamentary language inside the ‘Bigg Boss’ house.

Armaan Kohli has been charged under sections 324 (causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means), 504 ( provoke breach of peace) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to outrage the modesty of a woman) 506 (criminal intimidation) and 354 a (sexual harassment) of the Indian Penal Code according to police.

After filing of the FIR, the 29-year-old actress had tweeted: “Police report done. I’m exhausted with today!. The police have been amazing. Santacruz police have been very professional and courteous.”

On the other hand Armaan’s family had retaliated by threatening to file a defamation suit against the British singer and model. Keeping in mind tha during her stay at big boss 7, Sofia had quarreled with  Tanishaa, Ajaz Khan, but her arguments with Armaan Kohli allegedly turned ugly and violent. During the show, she also demanded the eviction of Armaan. According to sources Armaan Kohli will be out of police custody on bail this morning. “Armaan is in the police station and the investigation is going on. He was taken under custody at around 11 p.m. (Monday). The investigation is on and things will be clear after that says a police official.
