ECP announces LB polls schedule for Punjab

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Monday issued schedule for local bodies elections in Punjab and said that polls will be held on January 30 in the province.

The ECP also imposed ban on transfers & posting in the province following the announcement of LB polls schedule.

Meanwhile, Provincial Law Minister Rana Sanaullah said that the Punjab government is ready to conduct local bodies elections as per schedule issued by the ECP.

The law minister said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) will not make electoral alliance with any party in Punjab, however, he said that the party could make coalition in other provinces.
