The Pathology Department of Fatima Memorial Hospital & FMH College of Medicine & Dentistry held its first Renal Pathology Workshop & Symposium at the hospital. The two day conference was attended by over 100 Nephrologists, Transplant Surgeons and Pathologists from across Pakistan.

The keynote speakers of the conference were Dr. Mohammed Akhtar, Senior Consultant – King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre, Riyadh Saudia Arabia & Prof. Dr. Javed Iqbal Kazi – Department of Histopathology – Sindh Institute of Urology & Transplantation (SIUT), Ziauddin Medical University

The conference was inaugurated by Prof. Humayun Maqsood – Principal FMH College of Medicine & Dentistry followed by a welcome address by Prof. Sabiha Riaz – Head of the Pathology Department. The conference highlighted kidney diseases, transplants and the importance of histopathology and immunofluorescence in diagnosing such diseases.

The Pathology department plans to hold the conference annually after the resounding success of the inaugural symposium & workshop. Fatima Memorial Hospital, a not for profit hospital was founded in 1977 in Shadman, Lahore.

We will continue to provide the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the necessary support," the Czech Foreign Minister emphasized.
