EntertainmentLHC bans illegal screening of Indian films across Pakistan

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday banned illegal screening of Indian films across the country.

The LHC judge Justice Khalid Mehmood took up a petition filed by Ary News anchorperson Mubashir Lucman for hearing. During the hearing, the petitioner’s lawyer alleged that Indian movies were being screened illegally in collusion with the Censor Board, while the law of the land did not permit it.

After hearing initial arguments, the court stopped Censor Board from illegally screening Indian movies, and sought reply from all concerned parties till November 25.
