ISLAMABAD: 11 lawmakers submitted their declaration of assets to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Wednesday, a day after the commission notified cessation of their membership for failing to declare assets.

Those parliamentarians who declared their assets include Senator Faisal Raza Abidi and MNAs Abdul Rehman Khan Kanju, Shah Jahan Baloch and Alizeh Iqbal Haider.

Amongst the MPAs who submitted details of assets include Bashir Ahmed Halipoto and Jameel Ahmed Bhurgari from Sindh Assembly and Muhammad Khan Bahadur, Muhammad Zahid Khan Durrani, Iftikhar Ali Mashwani, Ziaullah Khan Bangash and Sardar Zahoor Ahmed from KP Assembly.

The ECP said as many as 15 more lawmakers are yet to submit details of assets and liabilities and will continue to cease to function. They include one senator, four MPAs from Punjab, seven from Sindh, two from KP and a member of Balochistan Assembly.
